Glendale CA,  based metal band Yeghikian has just signed a worldwide deal with Urban Yeti Records. Front man Alexy Yeghikian commented on the signing “It feels great to find a home for our music that really believes in us. We are not trying to fit into a specific mold when it comes to any kind of sub-genre classification of Metal. This band is about having a good time and giving an energetic performance.”

Yeghikian is everything you love about classic hard rock and metal with a modern vibe. Urban Yeti founder Mike Gevorgian commented on the signing “This was a deal that just made sense to me from the beginning. I can ramble on about how talented they are and say the same stuff you normally hear when a label announces a new signing. It’s not always easy working with talented people, egos and outside influence can get in the way. I’ve known Alexy since we were both in high school. We have had a bond before the band came into play so there’s a level of trust that already exists between us. When I met the rest of his band and saw them perform I could tell this was a deal that needed to be made. I couldn’t be happier to have Yeghikian as a part of the family.”
As usual, we’ll let the music take it from here…

Yeghikian - The World Is Spinning

We’ve managed to scoop up one of New York City’s finest! Urban Yeti Records would like to welcome IKILLYA to the Family. Of the signing, Urban Yeti President Mike Gevorgian stated,

“Our goal has always been to work with like minded individuals. The music has to be great of course but the message and the people have to be just as great. This is a group of guys that are extremely talented, write hard hitting music and have the drive to put in the work needed to break through the noise in todays metal scene. I’m very stoked to have these guys as a part of the Urban Yeti family.”

Just like with any new record deal comes a new album. ‘War for an Idea’, IKILLYA’s third full-length album will come out on Jun 2nd 2017. You can get a taste of what to expect right now with their music video for the song “Your God”. Of the video and track, IKILLYA lead singer Jason Lekberg commented,

“I began writing this song the day of the Bataclan shooting in Paris.  That event helped me finally put into words my disgust with people who use their interpretation of “god” to justify hurting, killing or infringing on the rights of others.  It’s the first IKILLYA song ever to use an expletive, but I don’t know that there is any more appropriate way to express how we feel”.

I don’t think we’ve ever encountered a band that has as cool of a formation story as Revelry Gang does with its two main songwriters Austin & Harley! We’re extremely excited to have them on the label and couldn’t be more proud of the work they are putting out. Backing this project on a production end will be Jake Pitts of Black Veil Brides fame. Jake was the man behind the discovery of this band who brought them to our attention and the rest will be history!

Make sure to follow the band on social media for updates during the recording process and for exclusive clips on the music as its coming along.

It may have taken a while but TIE just released their debut album ‘Safe Inside’ on October 21st to a wealth of great reviews from both industry pro’s and fans! Urban Yeti couldn’t be any more proud of this album and we hope you all enjoy it as much as we do.

“This record from start to finish delivers a onslaught of pure metal with killer hooks. No filler here!”

– Rob “Blasko” Nicholson (Ozzy, Zakk Sabbath)

“This album is the perfect combination of raw heaviness that hits you square in the face, but has just enough melodic overtones that you wont be able to get these songs out of your head!! bottom line….This album rules!!”

– Scott Peterson (Cryptic Slaughter)

“An evolutionary leap forward from where this band was when I first worked with them in 2013”

Mike Spreitzer (Devildriver)
